I am a regular presence at Vancouver's oldest speculative fiction convention, VConThis year's con (second weekend in October, 2019) will be at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel.

Science Fiction, Fantasy and Games Convention

VCON is the oldest general-interest science fiction, fantasy and gaming convention in Canada and the Pacific Northwest.The convention has promoted the interests of science fiction and fantasy culture in Vancouver BC and its environs since 1971, offering events and exhibits focused on a variety of Science Fiction and Fantasy fandom interest areas such as literature, art, media, music, costumes, comics, tabletop games, electronic games, etc.

Hey Casey - it despite this post being from 2015 you apparently updated the information for this year at some point before the date change from Oct 12-14 to Oct 5-7.

Normally we wouldn't worry about a smattering of incorrect dates on the web, but since Google's algorithms for determining "priority results" for searches like "When is VCON 2018?" continue to return the wrong dates due to lingering references we would be very, very grateful if you could please update your information the details to reflect the correct dates!
