Other Me: Mael Brigde & Her Writing

 

I used to want to keep these two aspects of my writing distinct and apart. Now, I don't think that is so important. So as to let you see a fuller impression of me and my writing, I introduce you to the Brigit devotee, Mael Brigde, author of A Brigit of Ireland Devotional - Sun Among Stars.

Numinous Land

 

beneath the sun

golden wine-filled cup

giver of life

comfort to the dead

you dwell

 

every oak and thistle

every bog and stream

possessed of deities

you among them

seeping out

through cress and liverwort

stalking out on hoof and toe

 

standing here

I am drenched in divinity

this mist soaked land

these blue backed waves

this storm shocked

sun shattered sky
