Grief: A Poem

I have been faced recently with grief and all the tangled emotions and thoughts that come with it. The poem below narrows in on one small aspect of the symphony.

Grief

pathetic in my grief
I find your hairs
linted up in hidden corners
rinse them off
set them awkwardly aside

there will never be another
I cannot throw them out
